Guess the Cover
A book cover appears on your screen, but it's heavily pixelated. Your job is to figure out the book title and author before the image clears up.
How it works
- You start with a blurry, pixelated version of a book cover
- Each round, you can either Guess or Skip
- Skip reveals a clearer version of the cover (less pixelated)
- Guess opens a search box where you can type the book title or author name
- You have up to 5 attempts or skips to get it right
- After 5 tries, the full cover is revealed and the answer is shown
How scoring works
- Each attempt shows a colored square to track your progress
- Red square - Wrong guess (or you used a skip)
- Yellow square - You got the author right, but the book title was wrong
Searching for your guess
When you click "Guess," a search box appears. Start typing a book title or author name, and matching suggestions will pop up. Select the correct one and submit. Your guess will be checked automatically, and your square will update to show if you were right, partially right, or wrong.
5-Word Clues Game
Instead of a cover, you get five written clues. The first clue is the hardest. Each time you guess or skip, the next clue appears, and it's always easier than the last.
How it works
- You start with only Clue #1, the most difficult
- Each round, you can Guess or Skip
- Skip reveals the next clue in sequence
- Guess opens the same search box to enter a book title or author
- You have up to 5 total clues. After the 5th, the answer is revealed
Same scoring system
The clues game uses the exact same colored squares as the cover game:
- Red - Wrong guess or skip used
- Yellow - Right author, wrong book

- Daily reset: Both games update at midnight UTC with the same secret book
- No accounts needed: Your progress saves automatically in your browser
- Archive: Visit the Quiz Archive to play any past game
- Share your score: After finishing, you can copy your results to share with friends
